CCL Hawaii at CCL's Summer Conference & Lobby Day June 8 -11, 2024 Washington, D.C.
Much appreciation to Ashley Boggs and Paul Bernstein who represented CCL Hawaii by attending the Conference in Washington, DC. They met in person with Representatives Tokuda and Case and with staff for senators Hirono and Schatz. Most of the meetings included Zoom for remote attendees in Hawaii.
We all thank Ashley and Paul for so effectively representing Hawaii and to Ashley for going to the extra effort to include us by Zoom which included it’s own set of challenges.
The Primary asks at the meetings included requesting support for the PROVE IT Act and Permitting Reform (including geothermal). The Secondary Asks included the Seedlings Act and the Increased TSP Access Act
Overall over 1,000 CCL volunteers were in DC for the conference including more than 150 youth. Volunteers had 442 meetings with their members of Congress.
